Vem, come, diverte-te! — Come, eat, have fun. That’s the invitation from WOW PIE, a pizza project bringing authentic Italian artisan Neapolitan pizza to Terceira.
WOW PIE follows the guidelines of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the body that defines what true Neapolitan pizza is, combining that strict tradition with the rich terroir of the island.
What goes into the dough
The whole point is simplicity done properly. The dough uses only flour, water, salt and yeast — zero sugar, no chemicals, no preservatives. Thanks to a 24-hour natural fermentation, the starches break down before baking, so the pizza comes out incredibly light and easy to digest.

On top of that base go extra virgin olive oil, antioxidant-rich tomatoes, and fresh ingredients from the island’s green pastures and volcanic soil. As they put it, this is authentic Italian heritage — kissed by the Atlantic. Real food, made with integrity, and signed by pizzaiolo Syed Bashar.
